Carried away on a moonlight paddle (11_19)..
2 November, 2019 @ 17:00 - 21:00£4 – £5
Saturday 2nd November 5pm
Well, no fireworks I’m afraid as the Hop Farm are not putting on a display this year, but that’s not going to stop us going for a nice evening moonlight paddle and bonfire with some hot food included.
Meet at Yalding at 5pm. Hampstead Lane, Yalding nr Maidstone ME18 6HG. This trip is weather permitting, and could be cancelled at short notice if deemed unsafe.
The plan is to paddle up to Sluice Weir where we will stop and have hotdogs and soup round a bonfire with sparklers.
Boat & Equipment:
Usual boat use charges apply. We suggest head torches and glow sticks or fairy lights to illuminate your boat. The more the better!! All boats are required to display a white bow light.
Please ensure you wear or bring plenty of warm clothing including a warm hat or helmet.
There will be a charge of £4 to cover food. If you require a boat or equipment the usual hire cost of £5 will apply.
Due to the nature of the trip, U14s only in open boats with a parent or guardian. U18s at trip organisers discretion. You must be a competent paddler due to the nature of this trip
We will operate a buddy system to ensure a safe and fun trip.
There are toilets and showers at Yalding which cost £1.
Anyone requiring any club kit should contact the trip organiser or another member of the committee. Kit hire is £5 towards wear and tear.
The Trip Organiser and/or Lead Coach have the final say.
The club recommends that all boats are fitted with rear air bags, this is to assist with safety for all on the water.
Please contact Bridget if you have any questions
