Chipstead Paddle (04_09_20)
4 September, 2020 @ 18:00 - 20:00Free – £5.00
**Unfortunately we cannot support any more paddlers on the water this Friday, however if you are a club member and wish to paddle please get in contact with the events lead, events @ bromleycanoeclub.org.uk**
**Club members with less experience are encouraged to attend the 18:00 booking and will be supported by a volunteer Coach – club boats and kit is available to borrow!**
**Please DO NOT book if anyone in your household is isolating, or awaiting the results of a COVID test.**
With the current guidelines of 6 people allowed to meet but maintaining social distancing, the following is this week’s approach:
The paddle time slots will be between 18:00 & 18:30, staggering every 15mins for 1 hour, please make sure that you are only on the water for your hour time-slot.
There are two slots for youth, one for sprint boats and one for kayaks to tour the lake and have a bit of fun. Do book these sessions as soon as possible so we can plan boats and coach cover.
Competent club members who do not have their own paddling equipment are now able to borrow a limited amount of club kit such as boats, paddles, decks and BAs.
If you would like to borrow any club kit for the Chipstead session, please email firstname.lastname@example.org BEFORE making your session booking. You will be expected to help move equipment in order to reduce the risk of transfer of the virus.
You are responsible for following government guidelines as much as possible. We would also encourage you to read our latest risk assessment.
NOTE: solo paddling is not permitted
Cost is the usual £5 per person, please pay via bank transfer before you turn up on the night.
*This week, the pub is open for outdoor serving of food and drink. Food orders will be taken by the pub at the time, no need to pre-order. We have secured 3 tables and a total of 18 spots for this, so please ensure you book a ticket for food and drinks at the same time as your paddle if you want to take advantage of this.*
The takeaway option is still available if you wish, but NO drinks will be served so if you choose takeaway, bring your own drinks and a chair. For take away, please get in touch with the pub directly. The menu can be found here: http://the-bricklayers-arms.co.uk/food-drink
Booking Closes at 6pm on Thursday 3rd.
