22nd – 23rd of October
A small group of paddlers set off to Exmoor for the weekend knowing that there was not much water and no rain expected. Water levels were the lowest we had seen them for a long time, but that did not put a damper on the weekend. Most people paddled both days, a few opting to put their walking boots on. But the glorious weather and beautiful scenery more than made up for the lack of water. We just spent longer playing on what water there was.
We ate in at the centre, stuffed full of Hunters Chicken and apple crumble all washed down with a bevy or two. And then had a hilarious game of river feature charades.
